Linear equations – use of the integrating factor.

The 4 methods to solve First Order Differential Equations :

1. direct integration
2. separating the variables
3. homogenous equations -using the substitution y=vx
4. linear equations – use of the integrating factor.

The last 3 methods are used in Further Maths eg FP2 and also in Engineering Maths.
