Mr Ravee Menon , is the Managing Director and founder of his education centre in Subang Jaya, Malaysia for eighteen years. He has been involved in lecturing mathematical and statistical courses for more than twenty years at the undergraduate and masters level. He has taught in various British and American courses including the London School of Economics (External Degree).He has also taught Quantitative Methods, Management Mathematics and Psychological Statistics at these levels. He was an Adjunct Lecturer at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, University of Malaya where he teaches actuarial science courses from 2006 to 2013. Since early 2015 he has been attached to Monash University Melbourne (Dept. of Econometrics and Business Statistics) teaching/delivering actuarial science subjects eg. Contingencies, Actuarial Statistics, Financial Maths etc.
He obtained his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (Hons) from University of Malaya and his Masters in Actuarial Science from Georgia State University, USA. He is also an Associate Member of the Society of Actuaries(ASA) and Associate of the Institute of Actuaries Australia (AIAA).
Outside of academia, he has spent time in the Armed Forces of Malaysia as a Senior Engineer with the ranking of Major. He has also worked as an Actuarial Associate in an international insurance company.
During the course of teaching in the colleges/universities he has seen the need for students to acquire a very strong maths foundation at secondary /high school level in order to cope with the rigorous demands of tertiary education later on. He is passionate about imparting his mathematical skills and to debunk some traditional fears of maths…and believing that strong maths skills are essential to future success in many higher analytical courses including engineering, finance, computer and medical fields.
